BENSON-AMES ALLIANCE LAUNCHES WEB SITE

OMAHA – Do you have a question about the Benson-Ames Alliance? The answer may now be only a click away.

The alliance has launched a new web site. Located at www.benson-ames.org, it includes background information on the alliance, its leadership structure and its plan for revitalizing the Benson-Ames area.

The site also contains a section that outlines the research conducted as part of the alliance’s development, along with a news and events component so interested citizens can keep track of future alliance activities.

“We’re just getting started,” said Liz Moldenhauer, chair of the alliance’s marketing and public relations committee.  “This site contains the basics at present, but we plan on using it as a tool to help tell the Benson-Ames story.  Our area of the city is a great place with a great history and an even greater future.”

Formed in September 2005, the Benson-Ames Alliance covers a portion of north-central Omaha roughly six miles in area. It contains more than 800 businesses – including schools as well as civic and religious organizations – and 15,543 households.

The Benson-Ames Alliance receives support services from Omaha by Design, the Neighborhood Center for Greater Omaha and the City of Omaha. Faculty, staff and graduate students from the Urban Studies Program and Center for Public Affairs Research at the University of Nebraska at Omaha provide research support.
